Show Tune Showdown 2007

I can't think of a better cure for cold January nights:
Tone Cluster - quite a queer choir - Show Tune Showdown 2007

China Doll and the Family Kwan

Is the film actually done yet? I met Kenneth Matthew McGrath eons ago at a karaoke night at Shanghai, and he'd told me then about getting NFB money for "China Doll and the Family Kwan". (IFILM: china-doll). Atmosphere so good, you couldn't possibly construct it, but so good that it is entirely tempting not to share.

Bitter Chocolate

Carol Off, author and journalist (presently hosting CBC's As It Happens) came by the studio a while back. The first time I'd been nervous in a very long while. Matt Harrisson did a great review in the XPress, appearing over the Christmas edition: Ottawa XPress - Books - Bitter Chocolate by Carol Off

Meredith Luce

Stopped at Planet Coffee with Meredith Luce last Wednesday, to do an interview with her ahead of her performance tomorrow at the Black Sheep. I think I've FINALLY convinced the guys to join me for a performance.

Pukka Gallery, Ottawa

Sharon VanStarkenburg and Meaghan Haughian came by this morning to do an interview for Love Me Goodbye, their exhibit opening next Friday at Pukka Gallery, Ottawa.
